European Consultation on Just Peace

In the context of the concept of just peace, which has been taking shape in the international ecumenical discourse for almost 100 years, the Conference of European Churches held a European consultation in Warsaw from the 9th to the 11th of December. The consultation included discussions on the dilemmas raised by the war in Ukraine and the opportunities and tasks of the churches in Europe and Ukraine.

CEC Delegation Meets With Reformed Church in Transcarpathia Leadership

A delegation from the Conference of European Churches travelled to Berehove, Ukraine, to meet with leadership from the Reformed Church in Transcarpathia. The meeting was part of a broader visit with church leaders in several Ukrainian cities in a demonstration of solidarity and uplift dialogue for peace.

The Residents of the Children’s Home in Nagydobrony Received a Donation of Own Brand Food

A delegation of the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid donated more than two million forints worth of non-perishable food to the residents of the Good Samaritan Reformed Children's Home in Nagydobrony (Velyka Dobron, Transcarpathia, Ukraine). The products were prepared by the residents of the most disadvantaged villages included in the Catching-Up Settlements programme.

Centenary of Reformed Church in Transcarpathia

The Reformed Church in Transcarpathia, Ukraine, celebrated the hundredth anniversary of its foundation in a thanksgiving worship on October 29th. Bishops from Hungary served at the event, which took place in the church in Beregszász (Berehove), Ukraine.
